Saturday I obsessively checked the weather hoping that the looming grey skies and the much cooler temperatures would not result in rain and dampen the spirits of Amanda & Mike’s engagement session in the Old Port.
Upon meeting them, I realized I had nothing to worry about, that regardless of the weather they were game for walking to all my scouted areas of the Old Port. And while I am always nervous meeting new people in general, they immediately put me at ease with their friendly, open and engaging nature.
Amanda told me right off the bat that her favorite season is Fall, so much so that their wedding is planned next October around that reason alone. They just love the colors, especially red! When I found out that fun fact, it felt fortuitous to have parked right in front of a giant wall of red leaves a few days previous when I was scouting for locations. I kept it in my back pocket for Amanda.
In the end we truly lucked out with beautiful light breaking in between the looming clouds, it really is a favorite type of sky for me. It feels passionate and it’s a perfect background for an engagement. Thanks again to Amanda & Mike for being so open and up for a long stroll in the Old Port!
