Montreal’s Best Hotel & Restaurant Wedding Venues
I’ve been photographing weddings in Montreal for the last decade. Over time, these hotel and restaurant venues have become a shortlist of my favorites to photograph couples getting married. I love an indoor venue where the ambience and decor are baked in, with the option of different rooms to accommodate different energies of the day ~ and this list has that in spades.
Located in the heart of Downtown Montreal, this old gentleman’s club was converted into a bar & hotel without scraping its history from the walls. Read about my experience photographing Laura & Antonino’s wedding at Le Mount Stephen and view their wedding gallery, too!

Located steps away from Mary Queen of the World Cathedral and Ste Catherine O, this venue can host larger weddings comfortably with a sense of refinery and luxury. I always love being able to step out with couples to take advantage of the architectural history downtown without having to be away from the party for too long.

Don’t be fooled by it being a cafe, this former bank has magnificent architecture that will wow any wedding guest. It also has the bonus of being located in the heart of Old Montreal, where many couples love to take advantage of its heritage to snap a few portraits in.

New, modern, and off of the Decarie highway - this venue is situated in The Hilton Garden Inn and surpassed my expectations in the most positive way. At times, modern wedding venues can feel lacking in personality, but the Westbury delivers in ambience, service, clean lines, interesting mirrors and great lighting.

A unique venue for all creative couples. Carrie and Nick, both professional artists in their own right, were drawn to this restaurant venue because it aligned with their values in design, art and food. I was instantly in love with the place when I saw one of my own former photography teachers, Genevieve Cadieux, works hanging on the walls. Did I mention it was Michelin recommended?

A long time ago this restaurant was a speakeasy type club that you could only gain access to if you knew the right people (when I was in school). Griffintown has transformed into a neighborhood rising out of its industrial era and really embracing its history and proximity to the Lachine Canal. The restaurant wedding venue has a cool elegance that encourages conversation, bringing the outdoors in with its tree lined courtyard. However way the light ends up falling, it makes for some very painterly portraits of wedding guests.

This slightly hidden, unassuming rustic… hotel? restaurant? wedding venue in Old Montreal is infused with its own character, like corner pianos, dangling chandeliers, and soothing fireplaces. Opening onto cobblestone, there are plenty of classic locations for portraits within walking distance (and bonus! getting married in the Notre Dame Basilica nearby, like France and Gregory did.)

Like Le Serpent, this Michelin recommended restaurant delivers in quiet luxury in a cozy cave like setting steps away from the main square in Old Montreal. Perfect for smaller, intimate celebrations, especially in the winter. A great one for the foodie demographic.

Another restaurant location situated in Old Montreal. You wouldn’t know by its quiet courtyard in its mezzanine that this restaurant sits smack dab in the center of Jacques Cartier square. Italian cuisine, lots of exposed brick, plenty of light, and they make a mean aperol spritz over cocktail hour.

One of Montreal’s most luxurious hotels, the Ritz protects their guests privacy and offers up many beautiful spots in their hotel for ceremony, cocktail, and reception. I have photographed HUGE weddings here and smaller, more intimate affairs. As well, a great spot for getting ready before your wedding.
